General Tilney Timeline and Summary

General Tilney arrives in Bath with his two children.
He quickly notices Catherine Morland, and Henry's attentions towards her, and begins asking about her.
The General is overly solicitous and attentive towards Catherine whenever he sees her, which causes Catherine some discomfort.
He invites Catherine to come to Northanger Abbey with him and his children.
The General gives Catherine a tour of his house and he starts dropping hints about her marrying Henry in the near future.
In a rage, the General abruptly throws Catherine out of his house.
When Henry confronts him, the General has a huge argument with his son and the two part on bad terms.
The General has heard rumors from John Thorpe about Catherine's wealth that influenced how he treated her.
After Eleanor marries a wealthy man, the General is convinced to forgive Henry and to allow him to marry Catherine.
