Cousin Randolph

This one is a little harder to come to, because it almost seems like the world is against Joel, our protagonist.

But even though he can come off as likeable, Randolph is actually a pretty slimy guy. He's the one who shot Ed, Joel's dad, leaving him incapacitated; who impersonated Ed in order to trick Ellen into sending Joel to the Landing, and who steals Joel's letters begging for help. In the end, he's really not so likeable.
