Ofelia is standing in the intersection, forced into the adult world by her move to the military camp and escaping into her own realm of magic as a means of escape. Pan's Labyrinth is her story, her journey through these two worlds. She's the one who must complete the tasks, to grow and to understand, to decide and to sacrifice.
