In 2009 Stephen King announced tentative plans for a sequel to The Shining, tantalizingly titled Doctor Sleep. It features Danny Torrance, now a hospice worker and a gambler. He has a "lifetime's worth of emotional scars" as result of his experiences at the Overlook. We just can't wait! (Source)

Stephen King missed most of first grade because of health problems. This is also around the time he wrote his first stories, featuring a character called Mr. Rabbit Trick.
