  • Lina attends the premiere of her latest hit film, The Royal Rascal, with Don.
  • Don tells her that, contrary to what the press says, there's nothing between them. Never has been.
  • Kathy hits Lina in the face with a cake she intended for Don; Lina gets Kathy fired from her job at the Coconut Grove.
  • While filming The Dueling Cavalier, Lina tells Don that she had Kathy fired. He tells her he hates her.
  • After it's announced that Cavalier will be a talkie, Lina takes diction lessons. It does not go well.
  • Lina struggles to speak into the microphone while filming, and the Cavalier's screening is a disaster.
  • It's decided that Cavalier will be a musical, The Dancing Cavalier, and Lina will lip sync to Kathy's voice.
