Brain Snacks: Tasty Tidbits of Knowledge
In 1797, William and his sister Dorothy moved to a village in the Lake Country in England in order to be closer to William's buddy Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The Wordsworths had the odd habit of walking around the countryside at all hours of the day and night, so the locals thought that they were French spies. Before he graduated college, Wordsworth took an extended vacay to Europe. The experience influenced his views on the importance of nature and everyday citizens. (Source)
