Prometheus in The Great Deluge

Prometheus in The Great Deluge

This Titan is thought of as a major champion of humanity. He's probably most famous for stealing fire from the sacred hearth of Olympus to give to mankind. For this, Zeus punished him by chaining him to a rock, where birds ate his insides everyday (yikes). In this tale, Prometheus once again shows that he's a friend to human beings by warning his son of the impending doom. If Prometheus didn't step in, then Deucalion and Pyrrha would've drowned with everybody else and humanity would be totally destroyed. (Thanks, Prometheus!)
