Character Role Analysis

Jerry

The play is about Jerry; he's the one who speaks first and last, and the one who speaks the most in the middle. He's also the one who acts; he approaches Peter, tries to get him to understand, and then kills himself when the playtime runs out. Okay, that last bit isn't the usual protagonist thing, but that's why they call it Theater of the Absurd rather than Theater of the Reasonable.
