Irina Timeline and Summary

Irina celebrates her birthday (name day) with a party, a cake, and a big shmancy samovar from Chebutykin. She's in a great mood, but she still misses Moscow.
She announces her intention to get a job. Work is the bomb, guys!
Baron Tuzenbach declares his love for her. This isn't the first time.
Fast-forward a couple years: work ain't all it was cracked up to be and Irina hates her job at the telegraph office.
Solyony hits on her. She's not into it.
Irina freaks out after the fire. Her job is killing her, her brain is shriveling up, she's aging, and she wants love.
Olga advises her to marry the baron. Ugh.
But okay, she will.
Fast-forward a bit more and she gets a teacher's certificate and plans to marry Tuzenbach. Maybe things are starting to look up.
Nope, spoke too soon. Tuzenbach is killed by Solyony in a duel.
Irina will go away alone and work. But not before she huddles up with her sisters to lament the sorry state of their lives.
