About Me

Intro

Basically, I'm the one who was voted "Most Popular" in the yearbook. I can get along with anyone. Jocks? I've got your back with nineteen NCAA sports, including my top-ranked men's basketball team. I have an impressive roster of club sports and intramurals, too.

Artsy? I have top-notch programs in dance, music, and art. My Theater, Film, and Television Department is home to the award-winning Arizona Repertory Theater. I spend the whole year putting on world-class performances from Shakespearean tragedies to standup with Jay Leno. Plus, I'm home to some of Arizona's best museums.

Or maybe you just really love to learn. If so, I've got a challenging and competitive Honors college and over 300 majors to choose from, including the nation's only B.A. in law and Arizona's only M.D.-granting medical school. I also have the internationally recognized SALT Center for students with learning and attention challenges.

Whether you want to go Greek, geek, or something in-between, I offer a ton of opportunities to find your niche. Plus, who can argue with a constant forecast of sunny and warm?

Body Type

I'm not too big (like Arizona State), and not too small (like Northern Arizona University)—I'm just right. There's room for all 31,670 of my undergrads and 8,951 of my graduate and professional students on my roomy 391-acre campus.

For those of you who aren't the mathy type, that's approximately the number of people who run the Boston Marathon each year spread out across 300 football fields—only, imagine that the football fields are dotted with classrooms, libraries, research facilities and labs. And hey, throw in a few palm trees, too. This is the Southwest, after all.

Current Living Situation

Now we all know that college is for learning, but you often have to live there, too. Luckily, living on my campus feels so Club Med, you won't want to go home for Christmas break.

Most freshmen choose to live on campus, and who wouldn't with all my spacious dorm rooms (including suites with private bathrooms), tons of meal options, and an emphasis on fostering students connections.

After freshman year, you can stay on campus or rent an apartment nearby. There are lots of affordable student housing within walking distance of campus. If you're a local and you want to commute to school, you'll find yourself in good company. Just make sure you get a parking pass.

Relationship Status

I may be in the PAC-12, but it's no wolf pack. Why? Because I am totally better than those guys. Any and all of them—especially Arizona State University. I won't stoop to his level by giving him "rival" status. Let's just say ASU is like my annoying little brother. I'd much rather talk about my international connections.

From Germany to Guatemala, I speak the international language of love. I offer over one hundred study abroad programs in fifty countries. I also host students from approximately 140 countries. I teach all of them to shout "Bear Down!" whenever they see the ASU Sun Devil.

You should apply to me if...

your motto is "work hard, play hard."
