Let's start the elimination process with choice (C).
The passage does tell us explicitly that the rovers' mission lasted six years, so this
answer choice is bye.
But how about answer (D)?
Nope, the passage tells us that the Mars Exploration Rovers' mission is considered NASA's biggest
Mars success, so choice (D) is rejected.
Line 24 tells us that the rovers were launched in the summer of 2003, so we can eliminate (A) as well.
This leaves us with choice (B), which we know to be untrue, because line 25 tells us that
the rovers were actually named Spirit and Opportunity.
Apparently, everybody at NASA tried to think of something even sappier, but failed.
