The passage does say that NASA managed the Viking project from Langley Research Center in Virginia...
...but it doesn't tell us that this is where NASA actually launches space shuttles.
Sorry, (A) but no.
(B)'s claim that the shuttles were launched from Cal Tech is also untrue, though NASA
did have its Jet Propulsion Laboratory there.
Pretty obvious that (D) is wrong.
Alaska's Kodiak Island would be a terrible place to launch space shuttles, because the
weather's not so great, especially in the winter.
