There will always be antiques, but it's hard to predict how many antiques enthusiasts there will be among the younger generations. Then again, aren't we all just waiting on our Pokémon cards to become valuable again?
A high proportion of any antiques dealer's business is done online already. In the future, that percentage is sure to increase. Remember, just because you're an antiques dealer doesn't mean you don't have to get with the times.
One thing is for certain, though, we will never run out of antiques. New ones are made every day...they just need to be aged properly first. Whether you're selling them on the Internet or over holoprojection, this field isn't ever going to become completely antiquated.
