You want glory? How does helping a young family move out of their too-small apartment and into a nice house with a yard sound? How does helping children learn financial responsibility sound? How does keeping the good citizens' passports, Social Security cards, and heirloom jewels safe and sound?
Whenever you give someone a badly-needed loan, help a child open their first savings account, or seal up that big metal door that leads to the safe deposit room, you're doing real good in the world. It's not the kind of good that will get you a parade and the key to the city. But everyone who uses your bank is extraordinarily grateful that you're there every day, doing your job.
