Glory

You could be on the Hollywood Foreign Press and vote for the Golden Globe Awards, or on the Board of IFP and vote for the Independent Spirit Awards.

Or you can vote for the New York Film Critics Circle Awards. Or the National Society of Film Critics. Or the Critics' Choice Awards. Or any number of numerous, nameless awards that professional critics shower their favorite films with.

Notice what all these things have in common? There's nothing in it for you. You're just the shlub who gets to pick someone else to win an award and get all the glory. You know what you get?

Bupkis. Nada. A big, fat, empty shelf. That's right.

But hey, maybe if you're lucky, you can win a Webby?
