Glory

Despite controversies over pollution and genetics in fish farming, many fish hatcheries have the noblest of motives. Seafood is a high protein meal for people across the globe, and demand for seafood is supposed to rise by 40 million tons by 2030 (source). You can imagine what would happen to marine resources if we made up the difference from an already suffering ocean. Aquaculture has also enabled us to rebuild a little of what was destroyed, like America's fragile salmon runs. That's something to take pride in.
