Stress

Holistic medicine is, like, a stress-free zone, man. Most practitioners believe that stress is a major contributor to illness, so allowing stress to come into your life as a medical professional would be sort of like drowning as a lifeguard. It's not good for your holistic image. That said, people who do this gig aren't superheroes, and just because you're opposed to stress doesn't mean you're immune to it.

There are lots of opportunities for stress in this line of work. Working with people in pain can be a form of stress (especially for the most empathetic among us), which only amplifies when things aren't getting better. You may also face lots of philosophical opposition to your work, contending with people who consider you a charlatan or worse.

We wouldn't worry too much about the stress, though. That's what the orange and thyme incense sticks are for, right?
