Possible, but not likely. If you're exceptionally brilliant or exceptionally lucky and stumble upon a cure for a terrible disease or something like that, fame is not out of the question, but that's probably what it would take. Or you could try the Neil deGrasse Tyson approach and use your impressive academic pedigree to garner speaking engagements and gradually become a public figure. If you decide to go with Dr. Tyson's route though, we'd recommend you, ahem, properly research your quotes and source material. That's all we have to say about that.
