Odds of Getting In

Odds of Getting In

Qualified surgeons are always in demand, and since we as a race love to shoot at each other, qualified military trauma surgeons are no exception. The catch for getting in comes with the "qualified" part. Medical school is challenging (and expensive). Residencies, which often have ninety-hour work weeks, are notoriously taxing on social lives and sleep patterns.

What we're trying to say is that the odds of getting in kind of depend on you rather than some outside uncontrollable force. Do well in school and make it through your residency, and you're in.
