Odds of Getting In
There's plenty of work, but you're going to have to hustle for it. Call everyone you know, leave business cards, get your face out there, and make sure everyone hears you and knows how good you are. Go to jams and sit in on concerts with friends, visit clubs; join the union and check out their bulletin boards.
In other words, network like crazy.
