Power

Speech-language pathology isn’t about ruling with an iron fist. Your purpose is to help patients achieve a better life, whether that means coaching a stroke victim through learning to speak again, or advising a surgeon on the effects of a cleft palate operation. It can be challenging to stay an average Joe when you have tons of awesome knowledge at your fingertips and the elocution of the Queen, but you still need to check your ego at the door. You're probably pretty awesome, though, so we're not worried.
