You're not going to be rolling in cash. Well, maybe you will. If you get your paycheck converted into ones, we guess. We're not sure. We didn't think "rolling in cash" was going to be so important. The point is, you're not going to get a ton of money unless you end up as the lucky few on the pro scene.

That doesn't seem to matter to most of the people who undertake this major. We get it. These are people who love sports so much that they'd probably do it for free. The reality is that until human beings learn how to photosynthesize, they're going to need to get paid. So any amount is going to make them happy.

They have the unparalleled satisfaction of enabling the greatest athletic feats on the planet. The power to unlock human potential thus far undreamt of. The knowledge that they're helping people in need, whether it's an Olympic athlete or a mother of three with a new knee replacement.

Good thing, too. For a major with a lot of science involved, athletic trainers don't get much. So be prepared to care for people whose cars cost more than you make in an entire year.
