Job Satisfaction

General quality of life statement

In a word: good.

While this major doesn't have the highest job satisfaction out there, it's up over halfway. That's the kind of happiness reserved for people who are doing what they want to do. After all, if you've been preparing for a job for most of your life and you get it, that means you win, right? You're over the finish line. Congratulations. Champagne?

It's not even like the happiness comes at the expense of money, either. Sure, you're not exactly going to make it rain at the club—unless, of course, you're sobbing uncontrollably—but you'll be comfortable. That low unemployment figure means you're not going to be worried about where that next paycheck is coming from, either.

You even have job security. There's nothing on the horizon that's going to replace medicine in the medical arena. So as long as people need drugs, they need people who can understand and make drugs. In case you haven't been paying attention, that'll be you.

There are majors that, statistically, will make you happier, wealthier, or more secure. A combination of all three is tough to find, though. Plus, it's hard to beat going to work and feeling like Walter White.

Well, minus the blood on your hands.
