About Common Core ELA - Literacy Standards

Literacy is more than just cracking open a book. Although, obviously, we recommend that too.

Nope, literacy is about how your students approach the written word. Mastering these standards will allow them gobble up gerunds and scribble out sentences with the proficiency of ye olde time-y writers (a.k.a anyone who wrote something that amounted to more than 140 characters).
