American Academy Of Financial Management - AAFM

A professional organization that provides certifications for the financial services industry. Jobs that might look to the American Academy of Financial Management for guidance include investment bankers, wealth managers and financial analysts.
The AAFM was formed in 1996 after two previous organizations merged. (It seems very Wall Street for two professional organizations to negotiate a merger.) The deal combined the American Academy of Financial Management & Analysts and the Founders Advisory Committee of the Original Tax and Estate Planning Law Review. We're sure fans of those two crazy kids were trying to ship them for years...
In 2015, the Global Academy of Finance & Management bought the intellectual property of the American Academy Of Financial Management and turned it into a global brand. The AAFM website now boasts members in "over 151 nations." Which presumably means 152.
