Certified Investment Management Consultant - CIMC

Discontinued in 2003, it was initially part of a program offered by the Investment Management Consultants' Association.

To get this designation, you had to pass a series of tests offered by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). Even though the program no longer exists, it is recognized by FINRA, and holders of the designation still must meet ongoing educational and other renewal costs.

So, they’ll still collect your money even though they don’t really exist…like America Online still collecting monthly subscriptions from elderly people who forgot to cancel their dial-up or change their email addresses.

Yes, that was still a thing as recently as 2015.
