Group of 11 (G11)

Categories: Econ, International

The biggest economic powers in the world meet together as the G8. That's like the cool kids' table in the high school cafeteria. The G11 is like a table for the drama school nerds, the chess club members, and the benchwarmers from the girls' lacrosse team.

The G11 consists of a group of 11 developing countries. They're central lobbying issue involves the easing of debt burdens for them and countries like them. They argue that debt relief will make it easier for them to achieve peak economic growth.

The membership consists of Ecuador, Croatia, El Salvador, Honduras, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Paraguay, Morocco, Georgia, and Pakistan.
