Job Satisfaction

The inner positive tingles we get from our jobs…if we get them.
The reverse, job dissatisfaction, involves the knots-in-your-stomach negative feelings you have about the job. To get a general idea of where people tend to fall on this spectrum, log into Facebook or Twitter on a Sunday night, where there’s typically a whole slew of status updates about how people feel about going to work the next day. Unless their boss is on their friends list, in which case you’ll likely see a lie like “I can’t wait to get to work tomorrow and see my awesome boss.”
Keep in mind that satisfaction and happiness are two different things. Work might be satisfying because it gets a person away from screaming and yelling at home. The copy machine may be easier to talk to than the people we live with. There’s an old saying, “a happy employee is a productive employee." Really, it’s “a satisfied employee is a productive employee.” Even miserable people can be productive if they feel satisfaction at work.
