Marketing

The whole point of “marketing” is to promote and sell goods and services.

That is its entire purpose. And even though we probably often associate marketing with ad campaigns and catchy slogans, there's a lot more to it than that. It involves research and networking. It involves understanding both high and low technologies. It involves grasping the implications of economic and social trends. And, as any of us who’ve ever taken a marketing class have had drilled into us, it involves the Four P’s: product (what is it), price (how much does it cost), placement (where and how can people get it), and promotion (how do people learn that they need it).
