Strategic Investment Fund

See: Strategic Buyer.
A whole fund dedicated to this strategy? Priceless. Maybe. Although, execution is everything. And strategic investment funds are usually funds held inside of large corporations with more cash than risk-seeking, innovative, creative employees. (If they were that talented, they’d have their own company, right?)
So, with poor execution, most strategic funds fail. They’re really just placeholders for boards of directors, seeking to make their company look more...forward-looking. Financial cosmetics in practice, sadly.
