Glory

Every high school lacrosse player dreams of playing in college. Every college player dreams of playing in the national championship. Every national championship player dreams of…um…winning.

The biggest competition in college lacrosse is the NCAA Division-I Championship, which takes place every May. In the men's championship game, the top 16 teams in the country square off. 26 teams participate in the women's championship (source). These people don't mess around.

There are also national championships for D-II and D-III programs. Still a big deal.

If you're that insanely rare athlete, you could end up on an international squad playing in the World Lacrosse Championship or the Women's Lacrosse World Cup. In terms of popularity, both basically have a non-existent viewership. At least compared to the soccer world cup. It's okay, you're too cool to sign autographs.
