Shmoop and LAUSD are partnering to provide you and your learning community with resources to support remote instruction.
LAUSD Schools have access to Shmoop's Digital Content Library, Intervention, and Test Readiness programs.
Shmoop is available in a few different locations in Schoology, to make things easy we have split these instructions into three categories.
District assigned courses will have the Shmoop app automatically installed. Follow the instructions below to get Shmoopin’!
Step 1. Login to Schoology
Step 2. Access your Course
Step 3. Click on the Shmoop For Schools app on the course navigation panel on the left
Step 4. A new window will open, logging you into Shmoop directly

Custom courses do not have the Shmoop app by default, due to this we will need to install the Shmoop for Schools app via the LMS App Center
Step 1. Login to Schoology
Step 2. Access the LMS App Center
Step 3. Search for “Shmoop” in Publisher name
Step 4. Select the Shmoop app
Step 5. Click “Install LTI App” and “I Agree”
Step 6. Select which Courses to install the app into
Step 7. Select “Install”
Step 8. The Shmoop app is now installed into your Custom Schoology Course
Step 9. Students can now access the Shmoop app from the Course Navigation panel on the left directly

Shmoop is also installed to the App Waffle icon for individual access. This is a great way to access Shmoop materials that aren’t currently within a Course, such as Study & Literature Guides.
Step 1. Login to Schoology
Step 2. Click on the App Waffle Icon in the top right corner
Step 3. Select Shmoop for Schools
Step 4. A new window will open, and you will be automatically logged-into Shmoop
