Brownsville ISD Makes the AP Honor Roll

Mastering standardized tests takes hard work from parents, teachers, administrators, and most importantly, students. But Brownsville Independent School District in Texas discovered a way to gain a competitive edge: Shmoop’s Online Test Prep.

According to the College Board, Brownsville ISD was one of "547 school districts in the U.S. and Canada that simultaneously achieved increases in access to Advanced Placement courses for a broader number of students and also maintained or improved the rate at which their AP students earned scores of 3 or higher on an AP Exam. By reaching these goals, these districts are successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students who are likely to benefit from rigorous AP course work."

Over 10,000 Brownsville students used Shmoop—not only for their AP preparation, but also to study for the SAT®, ACT®, and End of Course assessments. Brownsville's Advanced Academic Services Administrator Acacia Ameel attributes the district's success to Shmoop's Online Test Prep.
