Case Description: Complainant (Atalanta) accuses Defendant (Hippomenes) of being a total cheater. After he decided to claim her, King Iasos told Atalanta she had to marry. Atalanta said she would marry any dude who could beat her in a foot race. Hippomenes finally managed it with the help of Aphrodite. The goddess of love gave Hippomenes some golden apples, which he threw on the ground during the race. For some reason, Atalanta couldn't resist these shiny things and kept stopping to pick them up.
Case Status: Case dismissed. Hey, it's not like anybody forced Atalanta to pick up those apples.
