- George McFly is the kind of guy who eats lunch all by himelf. Marty tracks him down in the cafeteria, and discovers that he used to write science fiction stories. They may or not be any good, but Marty is impressed that his dad even has a creative bone in his body.
- Marty's urging George to ask Lorraine to the dance is thwarted by everyone's favorite plot complication, Biff. He doesn't listen when Lorraine tells him to get his meat hooks off of her, so Marty has to step in.
