Joshua is rated R for intense violence, gore, and sexual innuendo. We thought about giving this a PG-13, but we had a hard time getting around the insane amount of violence and death in the book. Let's face it: there is a lot of killing here. And some of it not even on the battlefield. That's an R in our book.
