Character Analysis
Bjurman is one of the main villains of Tattoo and Fire. He was Salander's guardian and he brutally raped her. We say "was" because he's dead now. He actually dies in Fire. But his name comes up quite a bit in Hornet's Nest. Although he's dead, he does star in the DVD Salander's lawyer plays at Salander's trial. Yep, we're talking about the recording of him raping Salander. It's so gruesome the judge has to ask Giannini to turn it off. This recording goes a long way toward proving that even the most unbelievable parts of Salander's autobiography are totally true.
