How we cite our quotes: (Stanza.Line)
Quote #1
ALL
FALL
Fall off the wall. (10.1-3)
Some things need to be explored physically. You just have to go outside and do it. Other things can be explored in our minds. For example, if you mentally explore the possibility of playing insane ball games on a wall, the inevitable conclusion is that you’ll fall off that wall. See? Mental exploration can save you a trip to the doctor.
Quote #2
SEE
BEE
We see a bee. (15.1-3)
These two guys explore nature and find a bee. In the very next illustration, some bees explore nature and find two guys. Yep, sounds about right.
Quote #3
NO
PAT
NO
Don’t sit on that. (26.1-4)
Pat likes to explore things with his butt. It’s not exactly scientifically accurate, but his thesis committee will have to give him points for originality.
Quote #4
Mr. Brown is out of town. (43.1)
Mr. Brown is forced to explore the area outside his hometown and he finds a friend in Mr. Black. See, you never know what you’ll find until you go looking for it.
Quote #5
My father
can read
big words, too.
Like………………CONSTANTINOPLE
and
TIMBUKTU (60.1-4 & 61.1-3)
Notice how the words are both places you could physically go and explore. Okay, fine—you’ll have to explore Istanbul and not Constantinople, but the point remains. The act of reading and exploration are conflated in this stanza to show their similarities.
