Hop on Pop Happiness Quotes

How we cite our quotes: (Stanza.Line)

Quote #1

UP
PUP
Pup is up. (1.1-3)

The illustration attached to this stanza shows a pup smiling that he is up. Even the bird is happy for the up pup. Puts you in the right frame of mind for the happy-go-luckiness to follow, does it?

Quote #2

NIGHT
FIGHT
We fight all night. (12.1-3)

The night fight consists of rackets being put upside heads. You’d think this would limit the happy factor, but nope. Those bear creatures seem to be having a grand old time.

Quote #3

HE
ME
He is after me. (13.1-3)

The guy the liger type creature is after seems mildly worried, but the liger and Jim seem to be in the happy spirit of things. That’s two out of three; not bad odds. Maybe the other guy just needs to lighten up.

Quote #4

STOP
You must not
hop on Pop. (36.1-3)

Every rule must have an exception. Pop and the Sad Dad are the exception in Hop on Pop. In this stanza, Pop’s not too happy about the pop hopping (and can you blame the guy?). But the kids like walking and talking, so it’s not like this little scolding leaves them devoid of happy activities.

Quote #5

Brown came back
with Mr. Black (45.1-2)

When Mr. Brown gets launched out of town, he looks worried. But he keeps a happy disposition about the whole thing and even makes a new friend, Mr. Black.
