Aside from a few tricky turns of phrase and a Biblical allusion that might be lost on those not in the know, this poem isn't about to throw you any curve balls. In fact, it's almost deceptively simple. You'll have to pay close attention to get at all the subtleties of meaning, but they won't put up too much of a fight.
