Last Minute Override

It wasn't until the last months of President Obama's last year in office that Congress—for the first time—overrode one of his vetoes. In his two terms in office, President Obama issued 12 vetoes, with just one reversed by Congress: his veto of the 9/11 Bill, a bill which allows families who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks to sue members of the Saudi Arabian government suspected of having played a role.
