What’s Up With the Title?

Ever had a bad day? A bad week? How about a bad couple of years? Well, that's why Rafe's story is called Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life. It's pretty self-explanatory: Rafe's just started the sixth grade and things are terrible for him.

Even though the book only covers the first year of middle school, James Patterson probably decided to title the book with the word "years" (plural), because he wrote a series of these books that follow Rafe's not-so-great adventures through seventh and eighth grade, too.
