At the end of the book, the boy and the girl fall asleep with their pet Zeep, leaving the reader with the following statement:

Today is gone. Today was fun.
Tomorrow is another one.
Every day,
from here to there,
funny things are everywhere. (333-337)

The whole course of the book, with all the adventures and introductions to pets and friends, took place in the span of just one day. During that day, the boy and the girl observed quite a few new and kooky creatures, had a grand old time with their pets, and introduced the reader to a whole medley of fun and games.

It's the kind of day that makes you wonder how in the world the kids fit everything in during the span of 24 hours. And it makes sense when you see them collapsed on the rug and snoozing soundly.

But the last lines let you know that adventure and funny things can be found everywhere. In fact, they can even be an everyday sort of occurrence. Since "Tomorrow is another one" (334), there is always the possibility of more chance encounters with Clarks in the park, and who knows, maybe you'll meet a Wump in Pahrump. It's just a matter of letting it happen.
