Case Description: Complainant (Oedipus) accuses Defendant (the Oracle of Delphi) of fraud. When the Oracle told Oedipus that he was destined to kill his father and sleep with his mother, he first tried to run from his fate and later came to believe that it would never come to pass.
Case Status: Case closed. Unfortunately for Oedipus, the Oracle is never wrong.
