The Princess Bride Steaminess Rating

Exactly how steamy is this story?

R

If you were to judge this book solely on The Princess Bride part of it, you'd probably get away with a PG-13 rating. But once you get into William Goldman's descriptions of his own life or his abridgment of Buttercup's Baby, you're getting into some steamy territory. The steamiest of all is no doubt the part where Buttercup tells Westley that she wants to take their relationship farther than just kissing, and the two of them end up having sex in a total unsubtle way.

In short, ninety-nine percent of this book is probably PG-13, but that other one percent is so steamy that it pushes the whole story into R-rated territory.
