Prometheus is the name of a big crazy space movie directed by Ridley Scott of Gladiator fame. It has nothing to do with Prometheus.

The moon of Saturn named after Prometheus is shaped like a giant potato. Scientists predict that one day it will collide with the Sun, thereby creating the largest baked potato known to Man. (Okay, we made that last part up, but it really is shaped like a potato.)

There's a bomb-diggedy spaceship named after Prometheus on the TV series, Stargate.

Prometheus was totally bummed when plans for a real life spaceplane named after him were scrapped.
