Case Description: Defendant (Ra) is accused of causing widespread havoc on earth after a giant solar storm in 1859 caused a CME that reached Earth in 17 hours and left telegraph damage and weird auroras in its wake. They were so bright, people thought it was morning in the middle of the night! (Source)
Case Status: Ra was found guilty of solar disruption and was asked not to do that anymore. Later solar storms in 1921 and 1960 caused problems with radio signals, and annual sunspots sometimes mess up our cable and electricity, but Ra's been good for the most part. Earth keeps an eye on him now, with 24-hour measurements. (Source)
