Book of Revelation Judgment Quotes

How we cite our quotes: (Chapter:Verse)

Quote #4

Then another angel, a third, followed them, crying with a loud voice, "Those who worship the beast and its image, and receive a mark on their foreheads or on their hands, they will also drink the wine of God's wrath, poured unmixed into the cup of his anger, and they will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image and for anyone who receives the mark of its name." (NRSV 14:9-11)

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (KJV 14:9-11)

Okay, so things aren't going to work out so well for the people who worship the Beast. To be fair, God did try to warn them by sending Jesus and all. It's not like he enjoys doling out these punishments. Or does he?

Quote #5

Come, I will show you the judgment of the great whore who is seated on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and with the wine of whose fornication the inhabitants of the earth have become drunk. (NRSV 17:1-2)

And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. (KJV 17:1-2)

The Whore of Babylon is going to fall and fall hard. She is judged uber harshly, because she lived uber sinfully. It's simple reaping and sowing, folks.

Quote #6

Her plagues will come in a single day—pestilence and mourning and famine—and she will be burned with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. (KJV 18:8)

Rome wasn't built in a day, but it sure will be destroyed in one. The Whore of Babylon is going to be struck down pretty quickly, while it takes God 1,000 years to finally vanquish the Dragon. Why does this mighty Empire fall so easily?
