Character Role Analysis

Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins, and Derek Smalls

In this instance, it's impossible to narrow it down to just one of them. Derek might get somewhat less screen time, but leaving him out would be like inviting Larry and Curly over for dinner and dissing Moe.

They might not be the most instantly likeable trio of characters ever to hit the silver screen, but their passion, charisma, charm, and total lack of common sense endear them to us as time goes by. We root for them to stay together, and to somehow find happiness in their waning years. And maybe also to stop feeling the need to pad their trousers.
