We don't know much about the ancient Egyptian moon god, except that he's bad at gambling. The way Carter summarizes an ancient story, the goddess Nut played dice with Khons: "Every time Khons lost, he had to give Nut some of his moonlight. He lost so many times, Nut won enough moonlight to create five new days and tag them on to the end of the year" (7.204). Note to ourselves: find this dude and gamble with him. For lots of money. Repeat as necessary.
